Basic Coverage and Property Damage
In case of damage to property, such as floors, walls, or the building, UpMove is covered by a $2 million general liability insurance for damages, at no cost to the client.
In case of damage to furniture or any other item during the move, we provide standard valuation coverage of $0.60 per pound, per article, at no additional cost.

Important Notice:Please note that claims and liability for property damage are void if not reported to the movers before their departure. All claims must be submitted before the movers leave the property upon completion of the job.
Full Value Protection and Third-Party Insurance
If you feel the value of your goods exceeds the basic coverage of $0.60 per pound, we advise you to purchase full replacement value insurance.

Rules and Regulations of Insurance Coverage (Exclusions)
Our company will assume no liability for loss or damage to the following items:
- Particle board / pressed wood furniture (e.g., IKEA).
These items are not designed to be moved assembled and are transported entirely at the owner's risk.
- Items packed by customer (PBO - Packed By Owner).
We are not responsible for the contents of boxes packed by the customer, unless there is obvious exterior physical damage to the box caused by our movers.
- Internal working condition of electronics and appliances.
We do not cover mechanical or electrical derangement of televisions, computers, washers, dryers, refrigerators, etc., as we cannot verify their operational condition prior to the move.
- Valuables:
Cash, jewelry, coins, stamps, important documents, and titles are strictly not covered. The customer must transport these items personally.
- Living beings:
Plants and pets.
- Fragile materials:
Glass, marble, or heavy items (over 300 lbs) that are not properly packed or crated by our professionals prior to the move.
